What Brought Rihanna Success?

Born in Barbados in 1988, Rihanna moved to the States at the age of 16 to pursue a career in music. Little did anyone know at that time that one day, she would become one of the world best selling female artists of all times and that she would, one day, be the youngest artist on Billboard Hot 100 to have taken ten singles peaking at Number 1. Having been ranked as the 17th Artist of the 2000s decade, Rihanna enjoys large fame, success and popularity all around the globe which came to her ever since she released her debut album.
It was in 2005 that the singer came up with her first studio album, which was titled as Music of the Sun. It took Rihanna's name amongst the Top 10 in Billboard 200 and one of its singles took her name to Billboard Hot 100. In 2006, a time less than a year later from the release of her first album, Rihanna released her second album, A Girl Like Me. This album gave Rihana her first Number 1 single and made a place amongst the Top 5 in Billboard albums chart. The fourth album released by the singer, Good Girl Gone Bad earned Rihanna with four singles that charted as well as nine Grammy nominations. This was year 2007 when Rihanna won a Grammy Award. Her fourth studio album, Rated R came out in 2009 spawning 10 Number 1 singles thus breaking all her past records while her fifth studio album, Loud, which came out in 2010 spawned five Number 1 singles. Album after alum, Rihanna made some record and reached out to set her own place in the music industry. Rihanna tickets have always sold out largely and owing to her extraordinary musical talents and energetic performances; have also been in more demand than availability. The singer has glided up a ladder of success in a very short span of time.
Apart from the unparalleled selling out of Rihanna tickets, the singer also boasts much of critical acclaim and titles such as Digital Songs Artist for the 2000s decade. She has won numerous awards including four American Music Awards, eighteen Billboard Music Awards and four Grammy Awards. Having sold over 33 million copies worldwide, the singer continues to enjoy fame and bring out her musical talents in different ways.
